How did you hear about Pagan-Place

Who am I
I am a take-no-prisoners kind of Aries woman. I know my desires and actively pursue them in order to create a more fulfilled and satisfied life. I do not know fear. I feel powerful in my own self assurance, yet deep down there is a vulnerable, soft side to me... The challenge for me is allowing that side to show. I speak my mind freely and without remorse, which can be a bit shocking to people from time to time. I live honestly, and honesty is one of the most important things to me.
I was in a monogamous relationship with a wonderful, talented, devilishly handsome Pagan man who reminded me every day to thank the Fates for little serendipities! That said, I am single again but I still remember to be grateful for good memories and stolen moments.
More About Me
I have a few weaknesses: art supplies, certain classical composers, good coffee, better mead, and excellent company fuel my spirit.
"The path of excess leads to the temple of knowledge" William Blake
Gardening, cooking / eating!, exotic food, cooking from my garden, sex (let's be honest), sustainable living, fae lore, good books, Piano Sonata No. 14, the smell of acrylic paint drying on a canvas, my crazy critters, early blooming crocus, and quite a lot otherwise
The usual... intolerance, cruelty, dishonesty, etc..
Friendship, Dating, Networking
Broadening my own understanding of my Pagan path, understanding the Fae side of me, playing in my garden or out in the woods, festivals, camping, and whatever else I can get into.
Very odd trick (but it works!!) for getting rid of the itch of bug bites is to press your nail into the bite leaving a small crescent impression and then repeating so the nail marks form an "X". Stops itching within a few minutes!
Hua! That's how we do it! This is one thing I've always loved about the Air Force... I was in Basic Training through Beltane and was able, believe it or not, to attend circle and participate without issue! At Sheppard AFB there was no available Earth-based spirituality service... so a civilian friend working on base and I created one! From what I understand it's still going strong! At my home station now the only backlash I've ever dealt with for being openly Pagan has been *gasp* intelligent questions! Lol. Not sure how it is in other branches, but in the USAF we're doing it right!!!
A place for pagan book lovers to collect and talk about their favorite books, ask for guidance on books or reccomend books to others. You are not limited to sharing your magical collections, you can also share more reacreational with other members (of course).
Herbs, Resins, Oils, Potions, Brews, Concoctions. These are the tools of many but in particular the witch. Join with me as we study the Witch's Apothecary and the uses of the items within. Share your recipes, experiences and thoughts.
This is a group that goes along with the blog of the same name. Welcome all kitchen witches, cooks, priestesses of the gods of the hearth. Share all recipes, superstitions, stories, blessings, and lore. Pull up a chair, grab a cup of tea, and make yourselves at home.
PhoukaWitchWow... It's sure been a while since I've been on here! Many updates - some happy, others sad... I have less than a year till I get my Master's Degree! That's the happy, so we'll concentrate on that for now.

I will be spending the day, for all intents and purposes, blind. That said, if everything goes as planned the day after will see me blinking into the world in a way I haven't since I was born... with clear vision!!!! Ideally I will not need any corrective lenses or contacts and my degrading eyesight (something that has been a sore subject and not often spoken about) will be a thing of the past!!! The downer is that I will be fully conscious for the surgery. Standard iLasik on the right eye; iLasik, corneal restructuring and microkeratono... oh heck, I can't spell it properly... a LOT to do on the left eye. If anyone feels like petitioning their chosen form of deity for a little luck, I certanly wouldn't complain if it came my way!!! Morrigan and Cernunnos be with me!!! less
